This report aims to determine the social vulnerability of communities to disasters in Istanbul Province. The study examines how various socio-demographic characteristics (such as age, gender, income, health status, etc.) influence individuals' sensitivity and vulnerability to disasters. Data was collected from 139,688 individuals through surveys conducted in 955 neighborhoods, and social vulnerability scores and maps were created at the neighborhood level using this data. The goal is to identify which groups are at greater risk in order to guide disaster management strategies for reducing disaster risk.
